Ansel AdamsWhen I spoke to an Icelandic photographer in Reyjkiavik, he said that it was impossible to take a bad photograph in Iceland. There is some truth in that - no matter where you point your camera you will capture something beautiful. Photography in Iceland is easy, which is what makes it difficult.
This photo is not my typical photo - it is slightly out of focus, taken as if by accident, as if on the run. And that's why it's one of the photos from Iceland that I return to the most. The play of light and shadow and the muted colour palette is what works for me here.
