I don’t have a burning desire to go out and document anything. It just happens when it happens. It’s not a conscious effort, nor is it a struggle. Wouldn’t do it if it was. The idea of the suffering artist has never appealed to me. Being here is suffering enough.
William EgglestonFor me, photography almost always just happens. I have these unexpressed images in my head that I can only see through the lens of my camera. I rarely plan a photo, I can never say "this is what I had in mind" because it always comes out different, often better.
I like the frame that is created by the railings of the stairs and the bars in the windows. The way in which the colour of the rucksack matches the colour of the water is also very pleasant to look at.
