Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.
Fay GodwinThis scene caught my attention very quickly. The building set against the mountain backdrop and the last sunlight at the top were instantly appealing to me. The composition of this photograph is a result of intuition and subconscious choices, but the outcome was clear from the moment I pressed the shutter.
The colour and shape of the main building - it has a Wes Andersonesque feel to it.
There is just a bit of light at the top of the photograph - without it, it would not look as interesting.
