The meaning of the name "Photograph On Paper" is ambiguous.
On the one hand, it is an expression of the author's belief that photography is best experienced on paper.
On the other hand, a large part of the page is devoted to reflections on photography in the form of short articles or commentaries - hence the ‘on paper’ in reference to a newspaper or magazine.
The aim of the website is not only to present the work of photographer Demetrius Wenglarczyk, who is also the creator of this website, but also to write about photography as an art form.
Under
SERIES you will find selected collections of photographs and photographic projects. In
PHOTO DIGEST you can read about some of Demetrius' work in short, written form.
Author's statement:
Seeing the world through frames is the ability to notice things around you that others don't, or to ignore those that don't deserve attention. Anyway, it's not what you see or don't, it's how you react to it.
The above applies not only to photography nowadays.
